Protecting Family Farms, Preserving America’s Roots
Fortifying Family Land. Strengthening Rural Communities
Family farms are again facing the kind of pressure that has reshaped rural America before — in the 1930s, in the 1980s and now in our own time. Rising input costs, volatile markets, consolidation, speculation and the weakening of rural institutions are pushing land out of family hands and eroding the independence that has long defined rural America. These forces threaten not only the stability of farm families, but the cultural, economic and civic foundations that sustain our nation.
Without deliberate, structural action to fortify family ownership and strengthen rural communities, America risks losing more than its food security. We risk losing a core part of who we are.
A Nonpartisan Effort to Fortify American Farmland
We believe land is the foundation of independence, community and national sovereignty. Our mission is simple: keep land in family hands, strengthen rural communities and ensure a resilient, sovereign future for American agriculture.
FSI advances land-security programs that help families hold onto their land during difficult years, fortify local ownership and keep America’s farms and small towns alive for the next generation.
